Adaptive Fashion -
Duke ALS Research

For my final project in Fashion Product Development, my group worked closely with Dr. Bedlack from Duke University to design stylish, functional clothing tailored for patients with ALS. This project allowed me to rethink the limitations many ALS patients face when selecting clothing. We focused on creating garments with adaptive closures, such as velcro and magnets, to ensure ease of use. Through conversations with Dr. Bedlack's patients, I gained invaluable insight into their clothing needs and challenges, which directly influenced our design decisions to improve comfort and accessibility.
